🔹 Job Overview

Web Developers are responsible for building, operating, and testing web servers and applying new technologies.

• Example roles: Web Engineer, Web Programmer, Web Master
• Employment recommendation issued by: KOTRA or SMBA (Small & Medium Business Agency) for SMEs

🔹 Eligibility Requirements

You must satisfy at least one general condition:

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of related work experience
• 5 years of relevant career experience

Special exceptions:

• Worked at a Global Top 500 company for 1 year
• Graduated (or expected to graduate) from a Top 200 (Time) / Top 500 (QS) university — no 1-year experience needed
• Korean college graduates (associate degree) → experience waived
• Korean university graduates (bachelor or higher) → can work regardless of major if employer need is recognized
• D-2-7 (Work-Study) graduates exempt from 20 % Korean hiring ratio

💰 Minimum annual salary: KRW 28.67 million (2025 standard)

🔹 Documents for Status Change

1. Application form (Form 34), passport, ARC, photo, fee
2. Employment contract
3. Company documents (business registration etc.)
4. Career certificate
5. Ministry recommendation letter or proof of employment necessity
6. National & local tax clearance certificate

※ Korean graduates (associate/bachelor) may omit the recommendation for some professions

🔹 Extension of Stay

Required documents: application form, passport, ARC, fee, employment contract,
income statement or withholding receipt, business registration copy, proof of residence, and tax payment certificates.
The employer must be operating normally with no tax arrears

🔹 Workplace Change / Addition

• Must report within 15 days after the reason occurs.
• In-person report required (sticker attached to passport).
• Documents: integrated application form, passport, ARC, employment contract,

• recommendation letter (or necessity proof), and former employer’s consent (if applicable).
